Demolition works
From a complete factory to a complete residential block — DCC demolishes safely, quickly and circularly, with the discipline of the petrochemical sector and one point of contact from permit to build-ready site.
Demolition is more than tearing down. It is planning, controlling and safely handing over — often under time pressure and next to installations that simply keep running. That is what DCC is known for: the discipline of the petrochemical sector, applied to every demolition job, from a complete factory to an entire residential block in the middle of the city.
What we demolish
- Total demolition of factories, industrial halls and process installations
- Complete residential blocks, apartment buildings and hospitals
- Demolition at height and in confined spaces
- Removal of foundations, floors and site paving
- Cutting, breaking and sawing with specialised equipment
- Renovation and strip-out demolition, also in buildings that stay in use
Complete demolition, right in the city
Our heart lies with the big jobs: complete residential blocks, apartment buildings and healthcare real estate such as hospitals — often in the middle of a densely built neighbourhood. That is exactly where everything comes together: phased release of buildings, residents and traffic a few metres away, and adjacent buildings that simply stay in use. We plan the demolition around all of that, with buffer buildings, structural reinforcements and tight control of vibration, dust and noise.
The Afrikaanderwijk in Rotterdam proves this works: there we demolished around 600 homes in one of the busiest neighbourhoods of the city — including asbestos removal and with maximum reuse of materials.
Why DCC makes the difference
One point of contact for the whole process, top equipment and a team that spots bottlenecks before they become delays. Safety is not a tick-box for us but the standard — whether it is a Seveso plant or a warehouse around the corner. The bar is equally high everywhere, and you notice that in both the pace and the handover.
We separate released materials and reuse them wherever possible — read more about our circular demolition.

Demolition works
What demolition projects does DCC carry out?
From complete demolition of factories and industrial halls to entire housing blocks, flats and healthcare property in the heart of the city. Also demolition at height, in confined spaces and renovation or strip-out demolition in buildings that stay in use.
How do you limit disruption for residents and adjoining buildings?
With a demolition plan that takes the surroundings into account: phased execution, buffer buildings and structural reinforcements, and tight control of vibration, dust and noise. Neighbourhood communication is arranged beforehand.
Does DCC also arrange the demolition notification and permits?
Yes. Work plan, safety file, demolition notification and any permits are in place before the first bite. If the building contains asbestos, we combine the demolition with certified asbestos removal.
What happens to the demolition material?
Released streams are separated at source, weighed and disposed of as circularly as possible. Where possible we dismantle materials for reuse rather than crushing them.
