When is soil remediation necessary?
When investigation shows contamination that stands in the way of the intended purpose, for example oil, chemicals or heavy metals beneath an old factory. We carry out the exploratory and detailed investigation that establishes this.
Does DCC also handle the notifications to the competent authority?
Yes. The remediation plan, the notifications and the coordination with the competent authority are part of our approach, as is the final report with which you demonstrate that the site is clean.
What happens to the contaminated soil?
It is excavated, transported to a licensed processor and accounted for in the file. We also tackle groundwater contamination when necessary.
Can you combine soil remediation with demolition?
Certainly, that happens often. We plan demolition, asbestos removal and soil remediation as one process so that the site is handed over build-ready in one go.
