Removing radioactive sources

Mineral wool

Especially in industry, mineral wool was widely used in the past as an insulating material in factory and power plant construction. When one of these factories or power plants is demolished, the radioactive mineral wool must be removed under asbestos conditions. This is always carried out in consultation with environmental authorities.

On-site measurements

The level of radiation emitted by mineral wool is determined by an on-site measurement. This measurement indicates which measures need to be taken and how best to remove the mineral wool.
