A little more sustainable every day, that's how we do it ...

In our profession, we face situations every day where we are responsible for materials and/or pollutants released during our work. The way in which we deal with this as a company has a considerable impact on the environment, and we like to take this as seriously as possible. On this page we therefore show how we contribute to circularity, climate neutrality and corporate social responsibility.

We reuse all possible materials and/or equipment

Before we start a project, we always take an inventory. We make an inventory of which equipment we can possibly reuse or sell. And we look at the state of the materials that will be released during demolition and whether they can be dismantled. Materials such as stones, for example, we break away as carefully as possible so that they can be given a new future.

We make every effort to find a new place for fire extinguishers, door stoppers, doors, kitchen blocks and even system ceilings that we dismantle or come across. There are specific websites available where we can offer all of these materials for reuse. Building materials or products with potential that are not immediately sold, we store them in our warehouse.

Sorting waste is the standard for us

Before starting demolition, our work area transforms into a small environmental park. All the different materials released during demolition are divided into container bins just like in an environmental park. For example, wood, bricks, and iron all have their own container. But roof parts are also kept separate. In this way, we can process waste quickly and responsibly and transfer it to the correct (final) destination.

We dare to take risks if it makes the environment better

Can a new (technological) development prevent building materials from being recycled but instead reused? Is there a more efficient way to separate waste materials or can environmental gains be made in other ways?

In (technological) developments, we are always at the forefront and the first to try new techniques and methods. Regardless of whether we know it will actually have the desired effect, the risks are ours. This is because the concepts of innovativeness and circularity are woven into our culture. We dare to be at the forefront.

This is how we ensure the lowest possible CO2 emissions

Mobile cranes and transport vehicles are the big energy consumers of any demolition company. We chose to use machines that use the most renewable diesel.

All of our smaller (demolition) equipment is electric, though. We also bundle as many transport trips together as possible to avoid unnecessary freight traffic and our building was recently (2021) remodeled to be as energy efficient as possible. Many of our employees also drive electric cars and we always try to look for local partners.
